It's Ok Thursday!

It's ok...

To drink a protein shake after you work out, in hopes of being completely "ripped" by Christmas time.

To google EVERYTHING.... literally, everything.

To do a rain dance... after it already started raining.

To eat cheetos for breakfast.

To leave unfolded laundry in your laundry bag after finishing it at an unusually time late at night.

To be excited for a day off of practice.

To speak in a British accent with your best friends... all day.

To wear sunglasses inside when you are too lazy to take them off.

To ask your algebra teacher if you can listen to the police scanner for class.

To change your major... once again.

To download over 1500 songs in a week.

To make "Canadia" jokes about your friend from Canada.

To blow a kiss to your Justin Bieber poster as you leave your room every morning... true story.

To "ghetto text" with your softball coach

For things to change...

To be friends with your ex.

To plan your Saturday night outfit... on Tuesday.

To steal comfy clothes from your guy friends.

To wish you were Barbie.

To trip, fall, and do a front flip over a trashcan.... and then fall over a bush an hour later.

For your pork chop to attack your face & scare your fork so it jumps out of your hand & onto the floor.

To have an obsession with Canadians... Hello Justin Bieber, Drake, and my best friends Layne & Jesse. :)

To only sleep on Sundays. Welcome to the college life.

To really look forward to Church & FCA on Sundays.

To only listen to Michael Jackson & Prince for 3 days in a row.

Hey, its ok! :)

New Life

Wow. What a crazy, emotional, interesting, BUSY past few weeks it has been! I know you are probably mad at me for not posting in FOREVER... but from finally moving back to West Texas, 5 hour softball practices, 6 hour road trips to tournaments, and 8am classes, it has been rather busy!

Now that I'm all settled into my new life, it will be much easier to catch back up on everything...

There are some very important things I must fill you in on.... first of all.. my new school!! I am officially playing softball at Western Texas College, and I absolutely l-o-v-e it.

Being a college athlete has already been tons of work (and its only the 3rd week!), but it is completely worth it.

You know what else is making my time in Snyder fabulous?!

The girls right here:

Oh how I love my team! :)

Untitled Post

Reading takes us away from home, but more important, it finds homes for us everywhere.
 - Hazel Rochman

In my future home, in my future cozy log cabin house, on top of a future hill, in a future little town, I will have this library.

This is the "untitled post." It has no relevance to anything... I just really love books! Now for a change of topic... Once again, I have been extremely busy the past few weeks. Between moving, softball, and school, it has been a crazy, hectic, fun, interesting, emotional few weeks to say the least. Now that I'm FINALLY settled in to my new town of Snyder, Texas it will be a little easier to sit down and write again!

I PROMISE to have another post within the next couple of days... sorry to leave you hanging, but I have a little adventure about to take place.... :)

It's Ok Thursday

Today, I'm linking up with Neely from, A Complete Waste of Makeup, for "It's Ok Thursday!"

In the words of Neely, "Its Ok Thursdays a blog hope where you can justify the weird, normal and awesome things you do cause ITS OK!" We all have a few quirks about ourselves that we deem "weird..." but hey, It's Ok... It's Thursday!

It's ok...

To lay in bed at 9:30 and wish you could stay there all day.

To carry a 1 liter bottle of water around like a baby.

To wear a swimsuit top that does not match the bottoms you are sporting.

To carry your new MacBook Air around in your purse like a total geek.
(this thing is so incredibly small! it's the bomb-digity.)

To wear a Texas Tech Football shirt to sleep in, while on an Oklahoma State Football trip.

To have goose bumps when everyone else is burning hot.

To want to throw your phone at the wall across the room to acquire a new one. Preferably the iPhone or HTC Inspire.

To leave one nail un-polished because it is always messed up anyways.

To want a McDonald's happy meal for breakfast.

To highlight funny/important/meaningful/silly/awesome things you want to remember in books.

To honestly think that you will one day marry Justin Bieber.

To make weird eye contact with a middle-aged, frat daddy wanna-be, in the hotel lobby... and kind of be freaked out.

To look at every boat at BassProShop and want each. and. every. one.

To imagine in your mind, the place you want to go on your honeymoon. Even though you are nowhere near getting married.

To stay up until 2 in the morning, by yourself, watching ESPN highlights... even if you are a girl.

To want Starbucks constantly.

To love Taylor Swift and sing every song at the top of your lungs.

Hey, it's ok!

Happy Thursday!

AWE to the SOME.

Dear O.P.I. Make Mine Lime polish, your gorgeous green shimmer is perfect for sweet summertime. Dear Hayes Weston Hall, I blame you for the collection of water bottles on my dresser, in my car, and on my night stand. After a weekend with you, I feel the need to drink water from a bottle constantly. However, I prefer the cute little tiny bottles so my bladder does not burst. Thanks love bug, for the addiction. Dear Crazy Love book, you overwhelm me. I have never experienced the feelings you give me. God's love is mind blowing. You are changing my life! Dear Canal Boat Driver in OKC, I apprectiate the fact that you know EXACTLY where Ponder, Justin, and Krum are... and that you ride the train by my house. Dear MTV, your zombie commercial that always comes on disgusts me! Go away. Dear Roommate, 15 days. Oh, and I bought our shower curtain today. Dear Little Sister, I'll be home soon. Then it's our "recorded" shark week. Prepare yourself homegirl. Dear Lawrence Hall Chevrolet Truck, I saw you today in OKC. You came from Anson. Not only does that excite me (AWE to the SOME), it still weirds me out. You are a long way from home little buddy. Dear Hotel Bed, you are calling my name!

Goodnight!

Embracing Flaws

You know the feeling you get when you stumble across a new blog and the writer seems to be PERFECT. They are amazing in every single way possible? Well I hate to get your hopes up followers.... That is definately NOT me. I would hate to mislead you all with a perfection I do not hold.

This blog is DIFFERENT... Why? Well because I am...

I have flaws just like every normal human being. I keep secrets, I have fears, I have hopes, I have dreams.... My family fights, my friends bicker, my boyfriend can make me mad... and guess what... when it rains, my hair frizzes. Shocking? Yup, tell me about it.

I struggle with different things on a daily basis.... and I have come to find out... That is PERFECTLY ok to seek help.

Its called embracing your flaws, and I have learned to accept things I cannot change as little blessings in disguise...

Not only do you have to embrace your own unique differences, you have to accept the ones of others around you. This can be just as difficult, especially if these differences are ones that have the potential to be in your life for years to come....

You may be figuring out there is something I am DYING to share with you right now, about something or someone close to me, I haven't quite figured out how to deal with it in the real world... I felt as though I have accpeted it for all it was... is it possible to have second thoughts about something so very important? So this little corner of blogosphere will have to wait for the big "secret" later on.... I guess I have to keep you guessing so you'll come back for more.... any thoughts?

Xoxo,
Morgan

Get Your Pistols Up

Ever since I can remember my idol has been this chick right here....

Miranda Lambert.

And now she has a brand new band! Miranda & two of her closest friends, Ashley Monroe & Angaleena Presley make up The Pistol Annies...

...and man are they rockstars! I found my new favorite band! They are everything I love all rolled into one... A little bit of hippie, little bit of Texas, and a WHOLE lot of rockstar.
Check out their website HERE, and their new single, Hell on Heels, right here!

(make sure to scroll to the bottom of my page and pause the music before you enjoy the greatness of the BRAND NEW, PISTOL ANNIES!)

Feather Fanatic!

Hey guys!  Well once again, I have been away for weeks at a time with no way to update the ol blog-a-roo.  My poor pantech just isn't up to date enough to make posts while on the road.... maybe FINALLY time to upgrade to iphone? :)

Back in March I found a new trend in Houston that I was DYING to start back in my hometown... feather extensions!!

I soon became a feather FANATIC!! I rocked the turquoise & brown pheasant feathers like a true rockstar! My girl Ke$ha even has them!!

I had them in for a little over a month before everyone went overboard and completely killed the new look..... However-- I think it might be time to re-kindle the old flame and reunite myself with my fearless feathery buddies!

What are your thoughts on the trend? Love, hate, no opinion?  Should I reinstate my feather extensions?  Let me know-- I'd love to hear a repsonse from my loyal followers!

The Lions Will Never Sleep.

Wow followers.  It's been two months.  My computer was extremely sick with a deadly virus.... but with a little help from the computer Doc, she's all better now!

So much has happened within the last two months.  Catching up is a must.

My state-bound softball team was devastated in an upset loss against Callisburg in the Regional Quarterfinals.  It was a shocking way to end my softball career at Ponder High School, however it made me realize how precious my time with the wonderful girls on my team was.  I would not trade the memories made for all of the gold in the world.  These girls had more heart, dedication, and love for each other than I have ever experienced.  It was truly a blessing, and God granted me four AMAZING years with an AMAZING team.

I want each and every girl I have played with to know that they each have a special place in my heart.  They are each special in their own way, and they are my HEROS.  AND contrary to what the Denton Record Chronicle article stated, "The Lions Now Sleep..."
... These Lions will NEVER sleep.

Even though this chapter in my softball career is now over, this will always be my team.  This is the team where tears were shed, smiles were shared, lives were touched, and inspiration was created

Living Out of a Suitcase

Dear Fellow Follwers,

I AM SORRY!!!

I've been on the road for about 4 weeks straight!

I know I have been MIA for a couple of weeks.... living out of a suitcase is TOUGH business!!  Late nights, no computer, and stockshows could almost do a girl in... not quite though!  Thank God for my friends that keep me sane during stockshow season!

Some of us show stick 'em like a champ...

Some of us take goofy pictures in mirrors in WARM bathrooms... while others take blurry phone pics at rodeos and concerts...

Some of us are in  GRAND DRIVES....

... and some of us take home GRAND CHAMPION.

MOST of us need a little time out from hard work and fun...

But ALL of us, show our butts off...

and CELEBRATE when hard work is paid off.

There are many sides to the early mornings, long days, & late nights of stockshows... My ten years of showing steers and pigs came to a close this past week.... And I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything in the world.

Showing is LOVE. And love is SHOWING.
